"Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times,
if one only remembers to turn on the light."
— Albus Dumbledore
Sometimes life takes us in directions we never expected, and it can feel like we’ve lost our way. But therapy offers a chance to pause, breathe, and remember that the light, hope, and peace you seek are still within reach. Whether you’re seeking peace within yourself, closeness in your relationships, or harmony in your family, I’m here to walk alongside you, offering guidance, care, and a safe space for transformation.
About me
There’s a moment in every life when something shifts—when the way things have been no longer feels sustainable, and the longing for change becomes louder than the fear of it. It takes wisdom to know you want something to change, and incredible courage to take that first step toward it.
I’m Malia Krupin, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, and my work centers on helping individuals, couples, and families navigate those turning points. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Sacramento State University and went on to complete my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Alliant International University’s School of Professional Psychology. Along the way, I developed a deep passion for exploring human sexuality and guiding clients through the tender, transformative process of rebuilding intimacy and connection, both within relationships and within themselves.
I believe therapy is more than just a conversation; it’s a space where you can be truly seen and understood. My approach is client-centered and holistic, blending curiosity, warmth, and deep respect for the unique story you carry. Together, we’ll explore not just the struggles you’re facing, but the strengths already within you, the pieces that can grow, heal, and propel you forward.
Every session is tailored to meet you where you are. I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy, in support of fostering emotional resilience, healthier relationships, and a deeper sense of self. Whether you’re working to heal old wounds, restore closeness in your relationship, or reconnect with your own inner self, I’ll walk alongside you one step at a time.
When I’m not in session, I’m often skiing, biking, or hiking in the mountains with my dog, simple reminders that joy, movement, and discovery are essential parts of any healing journey.
If you’re ready to begin the process of healing or simply curious about what therapy might offer, I would be honored to support you along the way.
